I’m touched by this. It takes a lot of courage to change. The part about leaving when things are good being a form of alchemy is very resonant . I’ve moved so many times, and as I’ve gotten older—and gratefully, more emotionally, financially, and relationally stable—I’ve had to learn that it’s ok to leave when something is good. Not everything needs to be crisis or reaching the point of desperation. Sometimes it’s a way to try something new. I also understand that this comes with pains. We leave places and people and things are never quite as we left them. But sometimes that creates an opening we didn’t anticipate. Whatever you do, I admire your courage and commitment to curiosity!
